Even if you do not have an account, it is possible that you use UVAE Products or interact with them. Therefore, we collect the following:
Browser or application connections when you access public content
Basic information about devices that have downloaded our applications, such as their model and operating system
We also receive information through cookies and similar technologies when you visit other websites and applications that use our tools.
Examples of Reasons Why We Collect and Receive Information:
Security of Our Products: For example, we collect information to monitor attempts to attack our systems, such as those aimed at overwhelming our traffic servers. Additionally, if we detect that a person without an account is trying to load too many pages, it may be an attempt to scrape content from our site in violation of our terms and conditions. We can then intervene to prevent this violation.
Security and Integrity: For example, if a person without an account joins a chatroom and shares harmful video, we can take action according to our Community Standards. We can remove content that violates our terms and policies or share information with law enforcement if we believe there is a real imminent danger of death or physical harm.
Performance: For example, we collect information when people use our Products, even if they do not have an account, to measure the loading speed of our pages based on the country and determine if they are functioning properly. This allows us to identify and fix local network issues.
4. Information You Provide
For example, when you create a UVAE account, you must provide certain information such as a password and your email address or phone number, your age, and your gender. You may choose to add other details to your account, such as a profile picture or payment information.
We also collect information you provide while taking the following actions:
Creating your avatar
Filling out a form
Contacting us
5. What We Collect Through Our Camera Feature
You can take photos and videos through the Product, and store your content in the app in your gallery or that of an Event. Metadata is also collected via the Camera.

Information about the content itself, such as where a photo was taken or the creation date of a file
Information about the message itself, such as the type of message or the date and time it was sent
7. The Apps and Features You Use, and How You Use Them
For example, we record:
The apps, posts, videos, ads, games, shops, and other content that you view or interact with on our Products

14. Related Metadata
For example, if you allow us to access your device's camera roll, we collect metadata. This metadata concerns and comes from your photos and videos and includes the date and time they were taken. We use them primarily to remind you that you have new photos to upload.
15. IP Address
This stands for "Internet Protocol address." It is a unique number associated with a device such as a phone or computer, which allows it to communicate over the Internet. These numbers are assigned according to established rules, or protocols.
Just as you need a postal address to receive a letter from a friend, your device needs an IP address to receive information over the Internet.
16. Information about the Network Your Device Connects to and Your Internet Connection
The information about your network and your connection includes:
The name of your mobile carrier or Internet service provider (ISP)
Language
Time zone
Mobile phone number
IP address
Connection and download speed
Network capacity

Wi-Fi access points you connect to using our Products
We collect this information primarily to improve your experience.
17. Information about Our Products' Performance on Your Device
We collect information about your device to prevent, diagnose, resolve, and repair errors and bugs. This includes how long the app has been open, the device model you used, and other performance and diagnostic information.

We collect information from cookies saved on your device, including identifiers and cookie settings.

We use your information to:
Adjust the information and settings of some of your accounts so they match across all your devices, which you can manage at any time.
Suggest people and accounts to follow.
Improve our products and offer related optional activities.
Measure and personalize, if shown to you, advertisements on UVAE products, for you and for other people.
Ensure your safety and that of others.
Better account for people and measure how they use our products.
Ensure that our products function correctly and fix them if they do not.
Personalize content and suggestions for you and other users.
Enable you to control shared experiences.
25. Why We Use Information About Your Different Devices
We particularly use information about your different devices to provide you with a more personalized experience. For example, we might show you an advertisement on your phone, and you might later use your laptop to click on that advertisement and purchase the product. By combining this information about your different devices, we can identify relevant advertisements and help businesses measure how effective their advertisements have been.
26. Manual Review
Examples of cases where we use manual review:
Our reviewers help us ensure the protection, safety, and integrity of all our Products. For example, our reviewers might search for and remove content that violates our terms and conditions and policies, and keep content that complies. Their work complements our technology for detecting violations.
We also use manual review to train our algorithms to analyze content in the way a person would. This strengthens our automated processing, which then helps us further improve our products.
Who reviews this information:
Our reviewers work at UVAE, for UVAE entities, or for a trusted service provider. We require that all reviewers authorized to access your information adhere to our security and privacy standards.
27. How We Personalize Your UVAE Map
Your UVAE Map is unique. We order (or "rank") the contents you can see in your Map, and you can learn more about the different types of signals we use to perform this ranking. We also suggest content that might interest you.
Many elements influence the content of your Map. For example:
If your friends, connections, or people you might know interact with an Event, a post, or a specific topic, we may suggest similar content to you.
If you and other people interact with the same group, the same Event, or the same post, we might suggest another group, another Page, or another post with which these people interact.
If you have recently shown interest in a specific Event on UVAE, we may suggest other similar Events to you.
You are likely to see posts based on your location and what people nearby are doing on UVAE. For example, if you are near a stadium, we may suggest games or events organized in that stadium.
28. Your Activity on Our Products
Based on your activity on our Products, we may:
Personalize advertisements based on your recent activity on UVAE;
Tailor ads based on your preferences and interests;
Use interactions from your contacts to personalize your advertising experience.
You retain the ability to manage your advertising preferences in the application settings.
29. Other Device Signals We Receive
We receive various types of device signals from different operating systems, such as nearby Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connections.
30. Personalization of Advertisements for You and Others
We may use location services to help users find Events in their vicinity that might interest them.
We also display ads for local businesses based on users' GPS locations.
You can disable location services, stopping the collection of their GPS information. In such cases, we may use the IP address to estimate your general position to show ads for local Events.
31. Security of Your Account
For example, we use information about the places from which you usually connect, combined with other information, to detect any suspicious activity. If we detect an attempt to access your account from a new location, we can thus verify that it is indeed you.
32. Information We Provide on Different Types of People
For example, we might tell an advertiser that their advertisement was viewed by women aged 25 to 34 who live in Madrid and are interested in software engineering.
We never share specific data about you, only general and aggregated data.
33. Service Provider
A person, business, organization, or entity that provides services to UVAE or to our users on behalf of UVAE. For example, our service providers might investigate suspicious activities and provide customer service.
34. Defining an Audience
On UVAE, the audience can be defined in the following ways:
The public, which includes people on UVAE and outside it;
Your friends and other connections, including friends of people you tag;
A customized list of people;
Yourself;
Members of a single community, such as a group.
On UVAE, you can set the audience for what you share by choosing between a private account or a public account. With a private account, only followers you have approved can see what you share. With a public account, your posts and other content on UVAE can be seen by everyone, on our Products or outside, even by people who do not have an account. You can restrict the audience for your content by blocking individual accounts, which will not be able to see it. You can also create a list of close friends for certain types of content that only people on this list can see.
35. General Demographics and Interests
For example, a bar organizing a Rock evening Event might want to promote this event to a targeted audience in Atlanta interested in nightlife. We determine whether a given person matches this audience based on their interest in similar events or entertainment establishments in the area. Then, people from this audience can see the advertisement for the special event at the bar.
You can always review the interests attributed to you in your advertising preferences and, if you wish, modify or delete them.
The bar can then access reports containing aggregated statistics about the audience that saw its ads and about the performance of these ads. The reports provide information to the advertiser, such as the gender breakdown, average age, and type of device used by people who interacted with the advertisement.
36. Transactions You May Engage In
Subscription to Premium content
Purchase, sale, or use of products
Purchase, sale, or use of services
